The next Quick Entry drawing for Federal and Canadian Skilled Workers Programs will begin in early July 2022.

The announcement was made on April 22 by Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser. IRCC will have 14 draws by the end of the year if they maintain their current schedule of one drawing every two weeks. If the figures are correct, each drawing will have an average of 3,992 Invitations to Requests. If these figures are correct, it will take more than four draws to eliminate individuals with a score of 481 or higher. The Rapid Entry system is accessible to applicants at any time.

How to Prepare for the Next CEC and FSW Draw

How Surname Entry will work before it begins again

We recommend several steps that can be taken now to prepare for the July 2022 CEC and FSW draws.

Make a profile for Express Entry

It will take time to prepare and submit your Quick Entry profile. Even though July may seem far off, there are many compelling reasons to submit your profile to the pool now.

By preparing and collecting your documents as early as possible, you can enter the Express Entry pool earlier. You can claim your travel documents, language tests, educational credential assessments, and so on.

The sooner you start the process, the more likely you are to finish by July and receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency (PR) before the July draws begin.

Creating a New Express Entry profile

Immigration professionals suggest reapplying if you are already in the Express Entry pool waiting for draws for the Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Workers.

Any changes to your profile will require you to reapply with all the updated information.

Your CRS Score Needs to be Improved

Due to a halving of the federal highly skilled immigration target for 2022, those who wish to apply should improve their scores in the Comprehensive Classification System as well as explore alternative immigration options.

CRS scores can be improved in many ways, for example:

  • Language
  • Work experience
  • Studying in Canada
  • Education
  • PNP
  • Job Offer

Check out these tips for improving your CRS score in 2022.
