On September 15th, Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted draw #163 under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) program for Express Entry. This was an all-program draw, with 4,200 invitations to apply (ITAs) issued to candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 472, a three-point draw since the last draw on September 2nd.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Express Entry draws were limited to candidates with provincial nominations (PNP) and those with Canadian experience (CEC); however, all-program draws resumed on July 8th. What we have seen is that CRS scores have continued to go down; with the highest being 478. This is good news for those in the 470 range as the trend appears to be going down. In addition, the all-program draws were only being conducted monthly, so this is the first post-pandemic draw within 2 weeks of each other.

With 4200 ITA’s issued, it is clear that Canada is moving forward with its immigration mandate levels. If you are thinking about applying for Express Entry, do not delay your application!
