Breaking News!!! President Donald Trump announced via Twitter, that he will sign an executive order that will “temporarily suspend immigration” into the U.S. His reasons for the suspension of ALL immigration programs is due to the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak and the need to protect the jobs of American Citizens.

Trump’s announcement comes just days after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s announcement that the Canada/U.S. land-border will remain closed to non-essential travel for an additional 30 days, despite President Trump’s comments that the Canada/U.S. borders will be amongst the earliest to reopen. In fact, according to Prime Minister Trudeau, these restrictions will be in place for a significant amount of time in order to protect the health and safety of Canadians.

While Canada’s focus in on the health and safety of the country, the U.S.’s focus is to protect the jobs of Americans. The U.S. has already commenced its plans to re-open the American economy. The State of Georgia has started its reopening plans, which will go in effect at the end of this week and will include re-opening of restaurants, movie theatres, massage therapists, nails salons, bowling allies and gyms. Oddly enough, Georgia continues to see increases in its level of COVID-19 cases, which is a likely gamble now that health and safety take a step behind a reopening of the economy.
