Last Express Entry Draw of 2020!

On December 23, 2020, Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held draw number 170, which is believed to be the last draw of 2020 under the Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) program. There were 5,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) issued to candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 468, the lowest since all-program draws re-started.

How Many ITAs Have Been Issued?

Canada has issued over 107,000 ITA’s for 2020. Since Canada has increased its immigration levels under the new multi-year immigration plan for 2021, 2022, 2023, there has been an increase in the number of ITA’s issued during these last draws of 2020. We expect this will continue in the New Year.

CRS Score Predictions

As of December 21st, there are currently 11,274 candidates in the pool with scores between 461-470, which is an increase of approximately 1000 candidates since the last draw. Candidates in the pool with scores between 451-460 are approximately 11,790. Together, the pool of candidates with scores between 451-470 are now at 25,187. It appears that not as many candidates are applying for Express Entry at the moment, which means if your score is between 451-470, now is a great time to get your application in.
